Attending the curry night this month were Mark, Brian S, Alan, Jim, Brian G, Jim M, Colin, Bill and Tony. The men set off from the Mission Church for the short drive to Higham. They were met there by Brian B, who lives locally and recommended the place.
We commented that the service in our opinion was a bit slow, but when the food arrived it was excellent and plenty of it. The ambience of the restaurant was good with the usual Indian music playing in the background. This is a small restaurant with a wine bar that people can come in and drink at without eating. The atmosphere didn’t suffer from smoke even though smoking is allowed at the bar.
The bill arrived and Bill collected the money in as usual. He then announced that the total bill was £153 and when we asked how much he had collected he said “£137.22!” This has become the norm, with Bill not having enough money to pay and the situation had to stop. Tony has agreed to act as treasurer and ensure that we collect the right money and have enough to pay in the future.
